Amazon tests boxes without servers in large storesDec 03, 2018 | 264 views
Amazon.com is testing unattended carton technology for use in larger stores and is experimenting with technology in Seattle, the Wall Street Journal reported.
The technology works well in a small store format, but is more difficult to employ in larger spaces, with higher footings and higher sales volume, the paper reported, citing a source.
The automatic teller machine system, which is already running on certain Amazon Go stores, allows customers to shop with a mobile app that tracks what they take off the shelves and what they get back, collecting purchased products after they leave from the store.
Amazon did not comment on the subject.
